1.What are the common auxiliary equipments in steel silos?

In the construction of steel cement silos, selection and configuration of auxiliary equipment plays a very important role in improving the operational efficiency and benefits, saving energy, and protecting the environment. The common auxiliary equipments in steel silos include four main categories: the entry and exit equipment( the conveying equipment), the material handling equipment, the material detection and management equipment, and the electric control equipment.

2. What are the uses of these silo auxiliary equipments?

1) The entry and exit equipment

The entry and exit equipment, also called the conveying equipment. The transportation process of materials stored in the steel storehouse includes vertical transportation and horizontal transportation.

The vertical transportation mainly uses an elevator and a vertical stranded auger. A bucket elevator is commonly used. The number of equipment to be increased and the number of configuration lines should be determined according to the technological requirements. We should consider the operation process of multi purpose and few lifting times as far as possible.

The horizontal transportation mainly uses a dragline, air cushion belt conveyor or buried scraper conveyor. The air cushion belt conveyer is suitable for the long distance horizontal transportation, and is used for the silo equipment with more feed intake and less outlet. The buried scraper conveyor is mostly used in the silos with less feed intake and more outlet. The two kinds of equipment can reduce dust flying because of their airtight enclosure. Air cushion belt conveyor is formed by tail frame and middle section, the middle section part is an air box, gas compartment by machine groove and curved hole plate, run by a high pressure fan blowing air intake box, blowing out from the arc hole plate, an air cushion is formed between the arc belt hold hole plate and belt, bearing materials.

Steel silo often adopts a scraper conveyor on the silo roof, which is supported by the trestle bridge. 1 sets of scraper conveyor can meet the warehousing operations of a number of steel silos. The buried scraper conveyor has the advantages of small volume, small occupied space, can make the warehouse top channel spacious, beautiful and neat arrangement. The air cushion belt conveyor at the bottom of the steel silo is usually set up 1 sets per row of silos and can receive materials from several steel silos.

2) the material handling equipment

The material handling equipment includes two types: gasification equipment and dust removal equipment.

The gasification equipment is designed to meet the high efficient discharge of large steel silos. The design and customization of the large steel silo gasification tube discharge system is the key to discharge large steel silo, discharge rate of emptying also depends on the layout of the gasification tube. Scientific and reasonable gasification tube system layout, not only save costs and energy consumption, but also make discharge rate of emptying reach 98%.

Roots blower is widely used when the exhaust pressure is less than 100kPa. The equipment has a wide range of volume flow and can provide oil free air. In addition, it has a constant speed curve. When the transmission pressure increases, the volume flow rate is only slightly smaller than the ring ratio, thus ensuring the suspended flow state of the material under certain pressure.

Dust removal equipment is designed to keep the working environment clean, improve workers' working conditions and prevent dust explosion. Exhaust inlet is set up at the head discharge port, the tail inlet, the first cleaning screen, the automatic scale, the belt conveyor and so on. In all parts of the conveying system, the dust removal pipes are connected with the dust removal equipment.

3) The material detection and management equipment

During the use of steel silos, silos should be examined for their internal material temperature and humidity. According to the stored materials and their storage time, we should take necessary preventive measures (such as cooling materials, transfer materials from one silo to another, etc.) to ensure the safe storage of various materials. This requires the steel silos to be equipped with the corresponding ventilation system, temperature measurement and humidity measurement system and thermal insulation system.

4) The electric control equipment

The operation or failure of various mechanical equipment in the modern steel silo is automatically controlled and monitored by the center control room for long distance. The electronic control equipment is used to control the working state of the whole steel silo system. The electric control equipment has to be set up in an independent room, that is, the electric control room. The room can be set in the work tower or under the steel silo, but it must be a closed environment, otherwise, there may be a safety accident.

3. Depending on the storage material, do you need to install different accessories?

The installation of the above auxiliary equipment needs to be decided according to the different requirements of the storage material. The grain silo must be equipped with dust removal equipment, cleaning equipment and fumigation equipment, temperature measurement and moisture measurement equipment. The silos such as cement and fly ash must be equipped with gasification equipment, temperature measurement and humidity measuring equipment, etc. The selection and installation of the auxiliary equipment and specific types and models of the steel silo depends on the different properties of the material and the precise design of the designers in combination with the actual needs.
